Mrs. Mendoza received her undergraduate degree in occupational therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 1996. Upon graduation she was employed as a pediatric occupational therapist providing school and home-based services throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She served a wide population of children with a special interest in early intervention and sensory integration therapy for children with Autism. She remains NBCOT certified in occupational therapy.
Mrs. Mendoza attended the CCBC Essex/Towson University Physician’s Assistant program where she obtained a masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is NCCPA certified, licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Physician’s Assistants
Mrs. Mendoza has an additional interest in sports medicine due to her extensive background in gymnastics. She was an elite level gymnast in New Jersey and competed nationally. She continued to compete as a scholarship gymnast at the University of New Hampshire. She continues to enjoy working with young athletes and has coached both class and team levels in Maryland and Virginia.
Mrs. Mendoza joined Countryside Orthopaedics, P.C. in 2004. She treats a variety of adult and pediatric patients clinically and is a first-assist in surgery. |
