Yani joined Countryside Orthopaedics in 2002 as an orthopaedic technologist with previous experience at the MANUS Center. A veteran Navy Corpsman with the Marine Corps, his training and schooling were obtained at the Navy School of Health Sciences in San Diego, California in 1987. In addition, Yani attended the Division School Medical Training Department at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, including the Field Medical Service School and the EMT/EMT-1 Non-Physician Health Care Provider as well as the UCLA Center for Pre-Hospital Care. In addition to his expertise as an OT, Yani is experienced in venipuncture, IV and wound care.
During his twelve years in the military, Yani was awarded medals that include three Good Conduct Medals, Marine of the Year, Navy Achievement Medal, Sailor of the Quarter Award, Sailor of the Year Award and numerous letters of commendation for outstanding service beyond the call of duty.
Yani maintains his OT certification and keeps his skills up-to-date while attending accredited symposiums and seminars annually and with his professional affiliations, including: The Virginia Association of Orthopaedic Technologists; The National Association of Orthopedic Technologists; The American Society of Orthopaedic Professionals; The Association of FMF Combat Medical Personnel; The Fleet Marine Force Grunt Corpsman Association; The American Association of Navy Hospital Corpsmen; The Corpsmen United; and, The American Legion.
