COUNTRYSIDE ORTHOPAEDICS has served the community of Northern Virginia since 1991. Originally located in Sterling, Virginia, the office is presently located on the campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital and has a reputation for specialized medical and surgical musculoskeletal care including the treatment of the diseases, injuries, or deformities of the skeletal system and its joints, tendons, muscles and associated structures.
COUNTRYSIDE ORTHOPAEDICS is comprised of two board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons who offer a wide range of expertise in conservative and operative care of patients of all age groups from pediatrics to the elderly. Our physicians are fellowship-trained, Dr. Lower completed subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle and Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Dr. Khan completed subspecialty training Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery and Microsurgery.
Dr. Raymond Lower and Dr. Imran Khan are dedicated to the fair and compassionate treatment of all patients. They believe strongly in maximizing conservative non-operative measures and are known for their sound judgment and thoughtful manner. In cases where operative intervention is needed, patient education and understanding is a priority and great effort is made to make the patient and their family comfortable with their options. The physician's utmost concern is not only the relief of pain and increase in function, but also the overall improvement in the patient’s lifestyle.
COUNTRYSIDE ORTHOPAEDICS considers their highly experienced Physician Assistant Daniel Williams, an asset to the practice and to our patients. Dan is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a certified professional in the state of Virginia with prescribing privileges. PAs meet stringent continuing medical education requirements, including recertification by examination every six years.
Physician Assistants are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision and are qualified to conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care and education, prepare alternate care options, assist in surgery, perform injections and prescribe medications. Within the physician-PA relationship, physician assistants exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. Physician Assistants increase access to health care and are part of a team approach at COUNTRYSIDE ORTHOPAEDICS to provide prompt and effective patient treatment.
COUNTRYSIDE ORTHOPAEDICS serves its neighbors through education and community involvement. The group's history in the community has also allowed the physicians to work closely with physical therapists and rehabilitation centers to assist in the recovery of their patients. The practice offers on site x-ray facilities, braces, casting and other supplies needed for optimum care.
The Physicians and PAs of COUNTRYSIDE ORTHOPAEDICS have been credentialed and have privileges at INOVA Loudoun Hospital and Surgery Center and at Reston Hospital and Surgery Center. |
